AJE: Science world awaits major announcement

Scientists at the CERN research centre in Switzerland are expected to make a major announcement on Tuesday.

It is thought they have found evidence of a particle that underpins everything we know about how the universe works.

If confirmed - and it’s a big “if” - it would be the most significant breakthrough since scientists discovered the structure of DNA almost 60 years ago.
